Mpendulo ‘Gentle Giant’ Skosana from Pretoria East Meyerspark is a Musician, Poet, Author, Mc/Programme Director and an Inspirational Speaker. Mpendulo is from a family of creatives ranging from Music, Art, Fashion, Dancing just to mention a few.
Due to the love of music he enrolled at Mc Art Academy where he studied music as a
singer and partial keyboard player and obtained a grade 3 in music theory under the
Unisa Music Foundation. Asa songwriter he wrote his first song titled Enkazimulweni in 2004. In songwriting he majors in Gospel music under the Urban Traditional Category.
Mpendulo has performed at various platforms such as Talent Shows, Youth Camps, Art Movements, Mams Radio, community events hosted by City of Tshwane and Gauteng Provincial Government, Non Profit Organizations, Faith Based Organizations, Non Government Organizations, and Community Based Organizations.
He has been giving Inspirational Talks at Church Events especially at youth dialogues and has been a Mc/Programme Director at Funerals, Weddings, Memorial Services, Children’s Program’s, Birthday Party Celebrations and Health Promotion Events.
At the current moment Mpendulo is one amongst 10 Authors who are featured in an Anthology titled Tapping into Poetry first issue under Kutsala Publishing. He writes his poetry in different languages such as English, Sepedi, isiZulu and currently writing in his home language which is isiNdebele.
